adobe flash player installation problemsAdobe flash player installation problems?

I have the latest versions of Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. I have manged to install Adobe Flash Player on Firefox but not on Internet Explorer. It only goes to 50% of the install and indicates that Firefox or Explorer needs to be closed. I have done this and it worked fine for Firefox but not for Explorer. It indicates "application currently in use" and won't go to 100% installadobe flash player installation problems. I am using a new computer with Windows 7 that has had little use.
Or a better option would be to not use Flash Player and rely on HTML5 and other open technologies like WebM. I'm proud to say that I'm not using Flash Player at all on any of my machines or devices and while there are some sites I can't visit, YouTube works fine for me when I switched over to the HTML5 version of the site. Thadobe flash player installation problemsere is really no need to continue using a quickly dying technology, especially if Adobe themselves are pulling the plug on Flash for mobile devices (I promptly removed Flash from my Android tablet when that announcement was made). It's only a matter of time before Adobe pulls Flash completely as a technology and finally decides to embrace the open web.
